Said Salim Bakhresa & Co. Ltd (SSB) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Officer to join its finance team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Key Responsibilities

  • Compute and file various tax returns, including VAT, WHT, corporate tax, payroll tax, and others.
  • Prepare documentation and provide support during tax inspections.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities such as TRA and BRELA.
  • Assist the finance team in completing various tax-related tasks.
  • Support group companies in their tax compliance and related matters.
  • Perform account reconciliations related to tax purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in tax computation, filing, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
