Sumbawanga is a municipality in the Rukwa Region of Tanzania. It is governed by the Sumbawanga Municipal Council, with the district’s history tracing back to the early 20th century. Sumbawanga is the capital of Rukwa Region. It is bordered by Lake Rukwa to the north, the Mbeya Region to the east, Sumbawanga Rural District to the south, and Nkasi District to the west.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ascertain its safety condition.
- Transport staff to various locations during work-related trips.
- Perform minor vehicle repairs.
- Collect and distribute various documents.
- Record and maintain details of all trips in the logbook.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- The applicant must have a Form IV Certificate and a valid Class E or C driving license, with at least one year of driving experience without causing an accident.
- Must have attended basic training in technical skills (VETA) or another government-recognized institution.
